We’ve been installing huge quantities of 3M Prestige Solar film this summer and for good reason! This amazing film rejects up to 67% of solar energy direct from the sun, but more importantly stops up to 97% of infra-red heat – the heat you can’t see, but feel. It’s the heat you feel when you’re sitting in the shade, and the heat that remains long after the sun has set for the day as it radiates out of surfaces that have been absorbing the heat all day long. It comes in visible light transmission from 20% (great for privacy and glare reduction) right through to 70% (perfect for maintaining natural light levels). Claremont residence: 3M Prestige 50 applied internally ensured optimal natural light, reduction of glare and maximum heat rejection.Work in Progress: 3M Prestige 40 Exterior for Low E Glass, Nedlands (far right panel unfilmed)
Nedlands residence: 3M Prestige 40 Exterior was applied to this low-e glass. This work-in-progress photo shows the unfilmed panel on the far right, compared to the completed panels on the left. Prestige Exterior is a perfect companion to low-e glass, which is not suitable for internal film installation as the film nullifies the low-e coating on the internal side of the glass.Internal view of 3M Prestige 70, Wembley Downs

ATCO Gas entrusted Complete Film Solutions to specify and install 3M Prestige 40 Exterior window film to their brand new double glazed building in Jandakot, that was suffering from hot and cold spots. Almost 1000 sqm of product was installed over 10 working days, with minimal interruption to staff, to produce an excellent result - reduced heat penetration from both direct solar heat energy and infra-red heat, reduced load on climate control systems and improved comfort for staff.External view of 3M Prestige 50, Claremont
